Bright House Farms

A Mountain Home, Arkansas Farm

Crops

We have a plot of hardneck, white, and elephant garlic planted for 2019. A limited amount of green garlic will be available up until May.

We have kale (curly, red and Lacinato), collard greens, beets, snow peas, spinach, lettuce, and mustard greens growing in the hoop tunnel and greenhouse.

Outside we have a bunch of sweet onions, green onions, and cabbage planted, along with some French Breakfast radishes and mini carrots.

We have tomato plants: Arkansas Traveler, Cherokee Purple, and Big Boy F1. In herbs we have plenty of chive plants and will have basil and dill as the season goes on.

It won’t be long now until the main crop tomatoes go into the new hoop tunnel. We’ll have slicing, black and sweet grape tomatoes.

After that the cucumbers and finally eggplant will be set out. We hope to have a better supply of pickling cucumbers this year.
